The course is aimed at workers that must perform specific works at height subject to the risk of falls from height, from a height of more than 2 metres above a stable floor.

The course aims to train and instruct workers on how to use category III PPE, including fall arresters.

Article 115 of Legislative Decree 81/08 describes the fall arrest systems necessary in the event the collective protective measures have not been adopted. Article 77 of Legislative Decree 81/08 imposes the obligation for practical training and instruction regarding correct use of category III PPE, including fall arresters, for all workers required to use them.
