In the field of fall protection, a wide variety of working situations can be encountered, and specific products exist to address the critical issues of each one. Today we analyze the MultiWork fall protection device, a product that allows safe operation on machinery or tanker trucks and is designed to be repositioned wherever the need arises.
But what exactly is this product?
MultiWork is essentially a rotating, ballasted jib, whose arm consists of a fall protection rail.
The first advantage of this system lies in the fact that the connection point between the fall protection PPE and the system is a sliding trolley. This trolley moves horizontally along the arm of the device, ensuring that the anchorage point remains positioned above the operator’s head. This prevents, in the event of a fall, the so-called “pendulum effect,” namely an uncontrolled swinging movement that could cause the operator to strike other objects and suffer injuries.
A further advantage of using a fall protection rail as the arm is service continuity: by means of dedicated trolleys that slide parallel to one another, two operators can work independently, ensuring a high level of autonomy and ergonomics.
To ensure smooth rotation of the arm, a roller bearing is positioned beneath the head of the device, allowing the operator to move freely through a full 360° range.
In addition, a locking pin system is provided to prevent the upper section from rotating uncontrollably during assembly, disassembly, and handling.
Once operations are completed, the MultiWork device can be dismantled into five separate elements, each with a maximum weight of 800 kg, repositioned and/or stored in a designated storage area.
Upon request, the device can be painted to ensure consistency with the client’s brand identity.
