about-us-Lineevita

Spider Linee Vita is the industrial partner that designs, delivers and manages fall-protection systems and solutions for work at height and in confined spaces, ensuring full control of the entire supply chain and complete regulatory compliance.

“Not by chance”: our origins

“Not by chance” encapsulates the origin and the approach of Spider®.

We originated as a fall-protection division of a group with over 40 years of experience in industrial supplies. From the outset, we made a clear choice: to specialise in workplace safety through integrated technical, operational and regulatory expertise. Over time, the group has evolved into dedicated companies for lifelines, safety nets, training and PPE, now covering the entire safety cycle – from risk assessment to final certification.

From risk to operational safety

Companies operating at height or in confined spaces do not seek mere formal compliance, but operational continuity and peace of mind.

For this reason, our approach always starts with on-site risk analysis (“Sei Sicuro”), continues with bespoke design, and is completed through installation, certification and scheduled maintenance. We also intervene on existing systems not installed by Spider®, ensuring continuity and regulatory compliance.

Manufacturers and Installers of Anchor Systems: What to Really Look For

When searching for companies that manufacture fall-arrest anchor systems, the first challenge is distinguishing reliable providers from those that simply fit third-party products without the technical and documentary expertise required by law.

Installing a lifeline system or anchor system is not an ordinary construction job. To be considered compliant, it requires a precise process: on-site risk analysis, structural design, selection of certified components, installation carried out by personnel qualified to work at height, preparation of the mandatory documentation, and scheduled maintenance over time.

The objective criteria for assessing a company in this sector are:

  • Verifiable certifications — not only of the product, but of the company’s quality system and of the installation personnel.
  • Genuine years of experience — with a documented portfolio of projects covering different types of roofs, industrial structures and complex settings.
  • Control over the supply chain — a complete design, installation and certification service ensures the highest level of control.
  • Complete documentation — the Technical Report on the Roof Covering (ETC), calculation report, declaration of conformity, use manual; these are not optional extras, but the minimum requirement for a legally valid system.
  • Post-installation support — an anchor system has an operational life measured in decades: the installer must remain reachable even five years later, for periodic inspections.

Spider Linee Vita meets every one of these criteria.

Past, Present and Future

Today, Spider® is a reference group for workplace safety in the industrial, infrastructural and public sectors, with operational offices throughout Italy and active projects also in Europe and the United States.

We continue to invest in research, digitalisation and training, because safety is not static: it evolves alongside regulations, technologies and operational contexts.

The Certifications That Distinguish a Reliable Installer

In the fall-arrest anchor systems sector, certifications are not a mere formality: they are the tool that allows a client or an inspector to verify that a company genuinely operates in accordance with the rules.

Spider Linee Vita operates in compliance with the main technical standards relevant to the sector. Our AGCM legality rating has been renewed for the third consecutive time, an indicator of managerial solidity and transparency that few companies in the sector can demonstrate.

On the personnel side, every installation team is made up of operators certified by independent third-party bodies, with at least one advanced-level installer present on site. This is not merely internal practice: it is a requirement that we systematically verify and maintain, since the installer is the last, and most critical, link in the chain.

What a Compliant Installation Means: From Design to the Declaration of Conformity

One of the questions we are asked most often, especially by those who have already received quotes from other companies, is: “Is documentation included?”
Spider Linee Vita’s answer is yes, always. And we explain why it couldn’t be otherwise.

A fall-arrest anchor system installed without complete documentation is not simply incomplete: it is not legally valid. In the event of an accident, inspection or dispute, liability falls on whoever commissioned the work, not on whoever carried it out without fulfilling their documentary obligations.

Every Spider Linee Vita project includes system certification:

  • On-site technical survey — a visit by our technician to assess the structure, anchoring conditions, loads, intended use and the specific risks of the setting.
  • Structural calculation and design report — prepared by qualified technical professionals, verifying the load-bearing capacity of the structure and sizing the system according to the stresses expected under the regulations.
  • Declaration of correct installation — a document certifying that the installation has been carried out correctly.
  • Use and maintenance manual — describing the correct methods of using the system, its operational limits and the mandatory maintenance plan.
  • Certification of materials — every component installed is accompanied by its own technical data sheet and product certification.

This documentation is not only of regulatory value. It also has economic value: a building fitted with a certified and properly maintained fall-arrest system is easier to sell, easier to let to businesses and, in the case of renovation work, potentially eligible for tax incentives. Choosing a cheaper solution without documentation may save money today, but it creates a problem for tomorrow.

The Complete Service: From “Are You Safe?” to Periodic Maintenance

Our model isn’t to sell a product and move on. It’s about building a technical relationship over time, because safety at height doesn’t end on the day of installation.

Every Spider Linee Vita project follows a structured process that begins well before work starts on site.

“Are You Safe?” — Preventive Risk Analysis
This is our preventive risk analysis service. A specialist technician carries out a dedicated site visit — at the company premises, on the roof, in the plant, wherever work at height takes place — and produces a confidential report for company management. This is not a quote disguised as an analysis: it is an independent technical assessment mapping the existing fall risks, the activities exposed to them, any devices already installed, and any regulatory shortcomings identified. In complex settings, this is the correct way to begin.

Bespoke Design
Every site is different. A pitched tile roof has different requirements from a shed-roofed warehouse or a flat corrugated sheet metal roof. Our design team selects the system best suited to the structure, the context of use and the budget, without forcing standard solutions where they don’t work.

Installation by In-house Teams
In-house teams, and in every case, no handover of responsibility. The same people who signed off on the design supervise the work on site.

Periodic Inspection and Maintenance
In accordance with UNI 11560 guidelines, permanent anchor systems require periodic checks. Spider Linee Vita carries these out on all systems — including those not installed by us — ensuring ongoing regulatory and operational continuity over time. Everything is managed through our client portal, which keeps all system documentation up to date.

SIGRIT: 4.0 Monitoring for Anchor Systems

The next step after scheduled maintenance is continuous monitoring. Spider Linee Vita has developed SIGRIT in-house, a digital 4.0 monitoring system for permanent anchor systems.

SIGRIT transforms an anchor system from a passive device, checked once a year, into an active infrastructure capable of detecting anomalies, stresses or non-compliant use in real time. Data is accessible via a digital platform, with immediate notifications in the event of critical incidents.

For safety officers and HSE managers, SIGRIT delivers one concrete benefit: documented certainty that the system is working, not just when it is inspected, but every day. For companies subject to audits or inspections, it is a tool that turns compliance from a periodic requirement into a permanent, verifiable condition.

The Sectors We Work In, in Lombardy and across Italy

We work on all types of structures where there is a risk of falling from height or of working in a confined space. In Lombardy, we operate throughout the region — from the province of Bergamo to Milan, Brescia, Lecco, Monza, Varese and Mantua — with guaranteed response times and dedicated technical teams.

  • Residential and civil construction — blocks of flats, houses, historic buildings. Lifeline systems on tiled roofs, sheet metal roofs and accessible flat roofs. We work on both new builds and existing properties requiring upgrades to comply with regional Lombardy legislation.
  • Industry and production facilities — industrial warehouses, shed roofs, walkways over machinery, maintenance of systems at height. Systems designed for operators who work at height frequently, with solutions that minimise connection times and maximise freedom of movement.
  • Logistics and large-scale retail — high-rack warehouses, loading bays, large-surface roofs. Settings where structural complexity and the number of workers exposed require careful design and robust systems.
  • Utilities and infrastructure — photovoltaic installations, towers, antennas, technical systems at height. Often work is carried out on existing structures that were not originally designed with safety at height as a priority.
  • Artistic heritage and public bodies — churches, historic buildings, listed properties. Systems designed to be as unobtrusive as possible in terms of architectural appearance, in full compliance with the requirements of the Heritage Authority (Soprintendenza).
  • Confined spaces — silos, tanks, manholes, ducts. Risk analysis, access and rescue systems, emergency procedures.

Why Choose Spider Linee Vita: Solidity, Transparency, Continuity

There are many companies that install lifeline systems. Some do it well. Some disappear after installation. Some hand over working systems without the documentation needed for an inspection. Some subcontract the work without the client’s knowledge.

Spider Linee Vita works differently, and backs this up with verifiable facts.

  • Twenty years of continuous operation — we have been active in the sector since 2005, with steady growth, investment in certifications and structure, and a client base that returns for maintenance. Operational continuity is itself a guarantee: a company that has been on the market for twenty years has a reputation to protect.
  • A single point of contact, clear responsibility — from the signing of the contract to ten-year maintenance, there is only one responsible party. No handover of responsibility between designer, manufacturer and installer. Should any questions, checks or updates be needed, there is a phone number, and a person who answers it.
  • Documentation that is always complete and up to date — not treated as optional, but as a condition of every project. Every client receives, and can find in their digital portal, all the documentation for their system: design, certifications, testing, and maintenance history.
  • Made in Italy, verifiable ethics — we manufacture in Italy, within 15 km of our headquarters. Our AGCM legality rating is public and has been renewed. We allocate 5% of profits to social projects.
