INAIL has made available the new OT23 model for the year 2021 for the reduction of the average insurance premium rate for prevention. The rate reduction, regulated by the Ministerial Decree of 3 March 2015, is granted as a fixed percentage, as outlined below:
up to 10 employees: 28% reduction;
from 11 to 50 employees: 18% reduction;
from 51 to 200 employees: 10% reduction;
more than 200 employees: 5% reduction.
Compared to the previous year, the new model includes several significant updates.
In recent days, INAIL has published the updated application form and the operational guide for the OT23 model 2021, relating to the preventive improvement measures adopted by companies during 2020.
The prevention measure categories under the OT23/2021 model are divided as follows:
CATEGORY A: Prevention of fatal workplace accidents (non-road related)
Confined and/or potentially contaminated spaces (A-1);
Prevention of falls from height (A-2);
Machinery and tractor safety (A-3);
Electrical risk prevention (A-4);
Prevention of risks related to insect bites (A-5);
CATEGORY B: Road risk prevention;
CATEGORY C: Prevention of occupational diseases
Noise risk prevention (C-1);
Chemical risk prevention (C-2);
Radon risk prevention (C-3);
Prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (C-4);
Health promotion (C-5);
CATEGORY D: Training, instruction and information;
CATEGORY E: Organizational measures for health and safety management;
CATEGORY F: Emergency management and personal protective equipment (PPE).
