Last week, a bungled burglary targeted the Via Pascoli Comprehensive Institute in Cisano Bergamasco, where thieves stole five laptop computers after damaging windows, doors and fencing. The incident left a particularly bitter feeling, as the stolen devices were intended for students in difficulty.

The good news is that Spider Linee Vita, a Bergamo-based company grouping five subsidiaries with offices in Cividate al Piano and Covo, after announcing its intention to replace the stolen equipment, delivered five new computers yesterday.
The handover took place in the presence of Headteacher Maria Teresa Di Guglielmo, Mayor of Cisano Bergamasco Andrea Previtali, and Councillor for Education Daniela Frigerio. The donated computers meet the technical specifications requested by the school’s technical staff.

The Mayor praised the gesture of the Spider Group, stating:
“An enterprise showing closeness to the territory in which it operates is a gesture that reflects a sense of belonging to the community and expresses civic responsibility and social altruism.”

The Headteacher underlined that:
“The sensitivity of a company involved in safety and training is inherently different, as it places the protection of human life in the workplace at the centre.”
She added that the alarm system limited the damage, forcing the criminals to flee after stealing only five laptops.

Stefano Duci, Operations Director of Spider Linee Vita, focused on the importance of young people:
“Our companies have a particular sensitivity towards younger generations. Promptly restoring tools that are also essential for distance learning means ensuring continuity of education. With this gesture, we hope to convey a message of hope and confidence, because the Bergamo area is rich in solidarity, which is the foundation for overcoming any challenge.”
